Kenwood Discoveries Pinot Noir

Kenwood Discoveries Pinot Noir is a medium-bodied red wine prepared with grapes sourced from two of California's best regions for Pinot Noir, Sonoma and Monterey Counties. The majority of the fruit is grown in Sonoma's renowned Russian River Valley, where the combination of rich soil and the ocean's cooling influence creates ideal conditions for producing premium Pinot Noir.

Harvested in late September and early October, each lot was carefully kept separate during fermentation and aging to preserve its unique character. The wine was then aged in oak barrels for nine months, adding layers of complexity and depth. This Pinot Noir opens with aromas of blackberry and cherry reduction accented by hints of vanilla, anise, and Earl Grey tea. On the palate, lush strawberry and cherry flavors are complemented by smoky notes and roasted coffee, leading into a lingering blackcurrant finish with well-integrated tannins.

With 13.5% alcohol by volume (ABV), this wine is a perfect complement to herb-roasted chicken with root vegetables. It pairs beautifully with a variety of savory dishes.
