Ruffino Riserva Ducale Chianti Classico is crafted from the finest grapes from the Santedame, Gretole, and Montemasso estates in Tuscany. The blend is Sangiovese the most predominant and famous red grape variety of Chianti and Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. After undergoing a Riserva Ducale, the wine is aged 24 months in stainless steel vats and large oak casks. It undergoes a second malolactic fermentation to enhance its smooth texture and is aged for an additional three months before release. Since its launch in 1927, this legendary Ruffino wine has become a benchmark for Chianti Classico Riserva, blending modern winemaking techniques with traditional Italian methods. After the Duke of Aosta, who famously trekked across the Alps to sample Ruffino wines, Riserva Ducale was declared the official wine supplier to the Italian nobility in 1890. This legacy is reflected in its iconic label, one of the most recognizable in the Italian wine industry.
Enjoy this Tuscan gem with Italian dishes like chicken cacciatore, mushroom risotto, and prosciutto, or serve it with grilled meats and roasted vegetables for a traditional meal.
